About 258 million children are out of school, and never end up receiving an education, due to money issues or other restrictions. We've envisioned a way to bring that number down, one at a time. Here at LanguageUnites, we are driven by a single goal; to create a community that helps the underprivileged receive the education that they rightfully deserve. MEET THE FOUNDERS
PURNOOR SHARMA
Founder
Growing up, Purnoor used to watch many success stories, of people who didn't have enough resources, rise to the top, and become valuable members of society. She realized that all these stories had one thing in common: Someone to help them. Unfortunately, in reality, there are not many people that take the time or effort to help underprivileged individuals out. Purnoor wanted to change this-- she wanted a level stage for everyone to showcase their talents. And from there on, she met Thara, a girl with a vision like hers. In her free time, Purnoor likes to play tennis, video games, and listen to music.
THARA RAO
Founder
Growing up in India, Thara experienced the first hand effect of education on children. Children who were given more opportunities at a better education were able to set up a path that led to a more successful life. Thara wanted every child to experience the power of education and the doors that it could open for for them to have a better life. To make her dream of giving children a better future come true, she and Purnoor came up with an idea: to start an organization that helped children get a better education. Thara hopes that this organization helps children have a more successful life.
